You and me brother, main thing now days is just enjoy and do the best you can@jimmymac
When I was younger I was a member, now that I’m older I just roll with the flow and enjoy the day.
I learned the hard way........ I blow out the top every damned time. Oh well........Yes I’ve heard that but if you never shoot in a boil, you’ll never learn how to shoot in a boil…So you might as well shoot in a boil.![]()
funny funny......... I learned to wait it out, unless I couldn't.....What did you learn from blowing out the top ?
Aim lower….?
Yeah, been there and done that...mostly at Ben Avery too. The days when I was utterly confounded there outnumbered the days when I had the right firing strategy.I've left more than a few matches saying, "I can't blame the gun for that crappy score."
gotcha. Seems if I was on the 600 line in a switching condition, and suddenly got an off call 8 or 9 out the top I got caught by a boil and either wasn't paying good enough attention to the mirage or didn't wait it out long enough and paid for it. Usually at Camp Perry with iron sights on a service rifle. They've got these new-fangled scope thingies these days.......I was just checking some data from the nationals and seen your quote, I wasn’t being funny.
I was asking a question. I know I’ve been in the same situation a few times myself.
