The Ultimate Truck Gun

Truck and gun definition aside , I think this could come down to a regional thing . To me there is a truck rifle and a truck shotgun ,that's why I would love a Savage o/u . The truck part is simple, anything that passes inspection and the tires hold air ...good heat for 30 below zero is a bonus . My main requirement for guns is something i don't mind the muzzle getting polished by the floor mat . Favorite gear...1st gear(granny grunt) in my old Ford, straight six...you can walk beside it on idle...now that's a deer drive . Very little BS in this one.

Nice rig. If you flip the scope mount it won't need to bridge the receiver and hand guard...
Ah ha Sharp eyes you noticed that.
There is a reason scope mount is reversed. I’m a Lefty and I shoot
Righty Rifles. The spent Brass goes across on front of my face and eyes. It’s not in the picture
But I mount a Shell or Brass Deflector on the Available pic Rail
Behind the scope mount.
A necessary Evil for us Lefties.
And as bassackwards as it looks,
It shoots 1 moa at 100yds easy!
Thanks for noticing.
***Added pic of Shell Deflector on my 6mmx6.8.

This pic is from last year.

22-250 barrel from classifieds here,ADL stock from here, scope that's now on is from here. Shoots 55g cast bullets into tiny holes.

This is kinda funny? I posted a pic of this "rig" on another forum(not trashing their forum) along with another truck gun, next to my tractor. And the caption was "ghetto rigs". All I meant was cheapchit, run whatcha brung hardy harhar. One guy gets bent over the use of "ghetto"? I just let it go cause it was so stupid..... like, you need to be PC or something about a truck gun? Anyway,it's sporting a Simmons 6.5-20X44 now.

For a bang around, fall down, don't care if it gets thrown down and run over truck gun that always goes bang and shoots straight, it would have to be the Smith&Wesson Sigma I have. Got it on a promo deal S&W was having when I bought my 500 so I paid next to nothing for it but other than the terrible trigger pull, it shoots straight and has never failed to cycle anything I fed it.
