The Top Ten Most Pleasurable And Relaxing Steps In Reloading

A recent posting by Ledd Slinger in which he said "Now with Bench Source, I kind of look forward to the next time I get to anneal because its a pleasurable and relaxing experience" made me think it is time for another thread with some humor in it. So see if we can come up with the "Top Ten Most Pleasurable And Relaxing Steps In Reloading".

My favorite is tumbling the cases. I load them up and go watch the news or something . Then I leave it on through the night and go to bed. That way I can dream about trimming with my Gracey.

My favorite step is closing the ammo box after they are all loaded, shooting is much more fun than reloading.......lol

I like all steps of reloading... for my .30 BR Varmint-For-Score gun ;)

Usually never have to load more than 10, maybe 15 at a time (depending on how many rounds I fire on a given target). Never more than 31, cuz thats all the brass I have! ;D No sorting, no obsessing over this or that minutiae, just load n shoot.

Oh, I love primer pocket work. Say maybe 300 223 or 308 that need crimps removed, or better, 500 cases that need the primer pockets touched up. My little fingers get to work and after about five my hand cramps up so bad I cannot let go of the brass or the cutting tool. Then the best part, blisters! Oh, I love them! Just thinking of brass prep makes me giddy.

The best part about reloading is being in these forums and getting PMs from people giving you at least a 9 for your posting performance.

The worst part is when some (expletive deleted) in the forum turns what you said upside down and only gives you a 6 and turns your average to a 7.5. >:(

Stay well my friends. ;)

(you too CatShooter) ::)

I love the feeling I get when I push "Buy Now" on several thousand military 5.56's and thinking about all the money I've saved over Lapua! Only to be followed by the many hours of drudgery prepping them and $$$ spent on tools to do so. :-[

At the end of a long session when I'm putting the finished rounds in thier boxes, and I dream about the next range day and how all those little babies will go into one hole ! Hey Snert: i put the bandaids on before I even start working. It helps.

Nothing beats staring at spilled powder when everyone is out of stock and you don't know when you can get more. The slow agonizing process of deciding what you can save and what's trash - now that's reloading!

I love when I leave open that little twisty thing that drains out the powder from the RCBS auto powder unit and spills high dollar Vihtavouri powder all over the bench. It's usually about fifty reloads worth before I pick up on it. Yeah, that's the part of reloading I like.
