They had them up at atterbury a few years ago and the 30- 40mph headwind turned into a sheet of water falling onto our scopes and ammunition. We couldn’t back under them far enough... heck you had to stand up to keep your head dry. It was pouring off the back also. Lol
It took me a couple years to recover from that... lol

Only when you stood up. We were pouring water from our stocks and ammo boxes. As soon as the director got out of the pits then he decided to call it. 99% they help but there is that 1% out there when it’s making a sheet of water to blow in.

Everytime I've gone to shoot a match in the rain what stopped us wasn't rifles or people getting wet, but pasters wouldn't stick to the targets anymore... end of match.

We had that problem and when you would spotter out all the pasters under it came off too.
