The Story of Creedmoor

For those of you with an interest in the history of rifle shooting in the U.S., I just posted the 1876 article "The Story of Creedmoor" on my site. I was able to locate a copy of the original, transcribed it and added some period illustrations. I think you'll enjoy it.

Thank You for posting this and your work transcribing the original. The history of rifle marksmanship here in America is fascinating. It would be interesting to read more about their equipment and how they trained. Maybe that will be another article ;)

Scott, Doug - I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! I actually do have a lot more material about that era and I will try to put something together each month or two in addition to the regular stuff. It really is fascinating.
