I was just thinking the other day that scope technology and quality has just gone bananas the last several years. I have been shooting and hunting over 20 years, but I got interested in long range around 2017. At that time, some of the top affordable long range scopes were sightron sIII(sfp) and swfa fixed power. FFP scopes were few and expensive. Now even the cheapest chinese FFP scope will have you making first round hits easily at 1k yards, and there are too many to choose from. When you consider inflation, these new scopes start at like 175 bucks in 2017 money. Despite the advancement, still love a sfp duplex....The new shooters have no idea how we all looked through spent toilet paper tubes for decades...
