The "NEW" Lee hand primer tool

I own 3 of the old round tray Lee Auto Primes all dedicated. One for Large Rifle only, one for Small Rifle, and one for 38 Spl. Small Pistol only. I also have a newer round one that has the locking tray and safety feed system I use on only 6BR Norma and 6.5 Creedmoor SR primers and a square one I only use on 6.5 Creedmoor LR primers. All continue to function perfectly except the catches on the square one broke and now I have to keep it closed with ducktape. I lube them with Vasoline sparingly when I think they need it. The new Lee Bench Mounted system and primer tray is a POS, however. I now have to use both thumbs on the lever and may eventually have to go to a bench mount for all my priming but it won't be another Lee.

I’ve had a few over the years including LEE and RCBS. The most recent that I really like over others is made by Frankford Arsenal. Comes with all the shell holders you need for every type of case head and a nice hard case with padding to keep everything organized. The primer tray flips primers over better than any other tray I have used. Swapping shell holders or primer rams is really fast and easy. The unit is smooth, provides really good leverage and is built like a tank.

The .001” click depth adjustment works very good as well. Only improvement I would make is to have indications on the dial so you can return to depths accurately when swapping back and forth between cartridges or adjust depths appropriately for new lots of primers. Other than that the FA hand priming tool can’t be beat.
