I once walked out into the yard and fired a 30/06 into the hillside, just to check the chamber. I didn't aim and fired from the hip. I saw something like smoke from the hillside at the shot. I walked up and found I had drilled the 1 1/2 inch waterline dead center; this at 75 yards, from the hip! If I had tried to hit it, I probably would have missed. WH
