When they break formation after the graduation, and you finally locate him, he will have the biggest smile on his face that you have ever seen. He probably has some words in his vocabulary now that he didn't have before.
Congratulations

That's awesome. Congrats to the young Marine. I did the same thing, same place 27 years ago.

They started out making us write letters home with crayons, but the other recruits kept eating them. Then we got "Ink Sticks" (Ink Pens.) LOL!

That will be one of the most memorable things in his life. I have so much pride in becoming a Marine. It is up there with the birth of my kids and my 25 year marriage to my wife, that has been in my life since we were 17 years old when we started dating.

Have that letter matted and framed then hang it in a very prominent place in your house. It will cause you to grin every time you look at it, look at it often!
You done good, congrats to your son!

We need a whole lot more young men and women with the guts and determination to do what your son has done. There are too few young people who are willing to stand up and protect the freedom we enjoy in our great country. Congratulations to you and your son.

Congratulations

The letters he writes back home to his mama are full of those words that he never ever heard around here. Thats one reason while you only saw the top part of the letter. :-)
