The last keg (H4895) I purchased before everything went crazy was about $190 plus 6% PA sales tax. Given that I get 2,240 rounds out of a keg of H4895 for my 223 Rem's, I'd paid the above price because it's only going to go up and more importantly, I get a lot of shooting out of a keg. 

Because of exceptional accuracy, easy to load, no recoil, and economical to load, it's the reasons I'm so "bullish" on the 223 Rem. It also meets 95%+ of all my varmint and predator hunting shot opportunities in the areas where I hunt.

Right now, I'm good on primers and powder. Next challenge is finding my favorite varmint hunting bullets, Nosler 50 BT's.  The 55's will work but I prefer the 50's.

I saw it a few days ago for 308 for an 8 pound keg plus shipping and hazmat. Not really bad at all. Also, it is pretty much readily available right now.

I’ve bought varget for $50 or less per pound delivered, recently. It’s been available almost daily, somewhere or other.

The only way I stay sane is avoiding places like midway and brownells.

I am using N140 now, but I know there will come a time when I can’t get that and I wanted some Varget as a backup- my how the tables have turned.

Midsouth and Natchez have been my go to‘s. I’ve resorted to buying 4 or 8 pounders. I have been waiting for an 8lb jug of Varget but have been pretty happy with N140 for now. I may even pass on the Varget for awhile when it’s readily in stock. There are plenty of other good powders out there.
