Took my wifes 6BR out this morning 30+ mph winds. She didnt go because her blind got blown over last night and busted to pieces. So now i need to build new blinds, but needed to anyways.

First light, had a few 8 pts out, a 6 pt, 4 pt, one real pretty 8 pt.. shot this doe, about 100 yards down at an angle, this is the exit. She didnt run... or blink..

5 minutes later i shot a spike too, but shot him in back of the head, 120 yards or so, wasnt much to take a picture of on him, needless to say he took a dirt nap fast.

Meat in the freezer, next weekend its sausage making time. Got 6 deer for sausage to grind up now.

That ol 6BR is hard to beat! You can drink coffee and shoot at the same time and not spill a drop! Its a hoot! Too bad its my wifes! I want one for me!!

Buy domestic pork, not wild pork for good sausage... thats a big difference right there. Chop up a bunch of jalepenos, dice up velveda cheese, add seasoning and grind up all the meat and grind up the pork together to help mix it all. Mix 60% deer and 40% pork.

Soak sausage xasings in salt water to brine them... then get at it with the sausage stuffer...

No jalepenos or cheese in some for just regular garlic sausage. Then pan sausage just vaccum sealed for breskfast and such..

It will take a whole day.. lots of work..

Tie off the ends of the casings to make rings of sausage... vaccumm seal em.

If you smoke it any you gotta have smoke with no heat... dont want to cook it... i dont smoke mine unless im doing dried sausage. Dried sausage you let it hang... check it/give it a squeeze everyday until its the firmness you like... i dont like mine super tough. Time hanging always varies..

Only thing I would change is sharp chedder instead of Velveta. Either way yum yum.
