The 6mm Rabbit Hole.

I have been involved with 70+ target bbls diring my shooting life and the only one that gave bullit failure problems was a 236 bore--remember the tighter the bore the deeper it cuts or coins the bullet--there was a time that Berger had an issue with their raw jacket material that was sensitive to this problem --the deeper cuts on the bullets also increased jacket wash and copper fouling which is detremental to accuracy and complicated the cleaning process--i wish you the best of luck but i will never have another bbl that tight again--read response #4 and listen carefully there is no one who has more real tournament experience with bullets than Randy--roger

Done a seating depth test yesterday and didn't find anything better that the picks above as far as seating depth goes.

I'm gonna try the Berger 109 and see if it likes that one better.

Alrighty guys I've got another report. I tried to 109's with about 20k jump. Shot a ladder and again at 2865 it shot 1 hole. So I guess I'm gonna just run it at that velocity. I built the BRX so I could run it faster but it just doesn't like it. Top right is only 2 shots cause the second shot misfired and the 3rd went back in the same hole.

Alright so I went back to a load that shot decent, changed to a CCI-400 primer and the group closed up to under .100 and the ES was 6 and SD was 2. I loaded up some ammo and went to graham to a match, 314 yard clay targets and won it with a score of 37 out of a possible 40. One of the points I dropped was because I shot the wrong target, I hit it but it doesn't count. LOL. Seems like I have it in a sweet spot.

Which bullet did you shoot at the match?
And congratulations, that‘s some great shooting.

Always nice to know your rifle is accurate. But remember shooters win matches in most cases not rifles. Exception might be ultra heavy machines used by some in heavy class at 1000 when there is no weight limit. So Coyotecreek, my point is, give yourself some credit also as the Indian. Congratulations. Those who try to make it all about the gun are usually applauding the winners.

That’s interesting on changing to the #400 primer in that case. Was that a change from a magnum primer that made it shoot smaller?
