The 22 PDK

If I had my 'druthers, I'd have a bolt for a Howa Mini action with the correct 6.8 SPC .425" boltface, then barrel it for either the 22PDK or 6PDK. A 22"-24" bbl with stiff enough contour to give consistent accuracy would be fun to work with on the little Mini actions, especially now that Boyds, Manners, & McMillan are all making stocks with the Mini action inlet. Maybe a Rem Model Seven action with correct bolt would be good for the PDKs also, but I'm really liking the proportions of the Howa Mini actions, especially when it comes to smaller cartridges like these.

Know this is an old thread, but need to comment on the accuracy issues I had with my 22PDK upper. I put a LaRue handguard on the upper receiver I'd been using with the Krieger 22PDK bbl I bought from WOP. The handguard was canted to the left, which was obvious out at the front. I finally tried swapping another upper receiver, and found that not only did that fix the canted handguard, but that accuracy with the 22PDK bbl was much improved. In fact, groups shrunk to around 1/2 MOA with the ammo I had loaded for it originally. This is the only defective AR upper that I've personally dealt with, but the threads for the bbl nut were obviously cocked-off to the left. It now resides in that big aluminum recycling bin in the sky - and good riddance to it!
