I posted a couple days ago requesting info on the 1/8" twist barrel life. I was thinking of pulling the 1/14" Hart for a shiny new 1/8" Krieger.
My trip to the range yesterday convinced me to wait for the re-barrel. This little 14" twist Hart just keeps on shooting so why mess up a good thing? This target shows rounds 2600-2650 testing of 5 - 5 shot groups with 52 gr BIB custom bullets (first 25 bullets---load not yet developed) and 52 gr SMK with proven load. This is a great little rifle built by Dixie Guns in 1998 and upgraded in 2014 with McMillan A-5 stock, side bolt release, and Badger Ordnance bolt knob by Jon Beanland.
Now I guess I'll wait to see how many accurate rounds this little rifle will send down range. One hundred yards, light rain, very little wind.
