Never been more happy to clean my rifle. As I think this barrel is a great one. Shoots great and single digits ES. Easy to tune. I'm hoping Sunday it goes back to hammeringI had this happen today, at least it is suspect I believe. It will get cleaned and checked.

Most I ever went before was 185How many rounds would you normally clean it at?
Have fun getting it clean after all that carbon has built up. Like Matt said not more than 40 rounds between cleanings. You are going to need a good stiff brush and lots of JB bore cleaner. Start by using patches and some Montana Extreme till you get most of the loose stuff, then go with the brush. Take your time and do a good job. Oh do you have a bore scope? that is a must for me. Maybe your carbon ring may be a lot of your problem after all those rounds. This may take some time!

I clean every time a rifle is shot, whether it's 10 rounds or 100. Barrel life is not affected by proper cleaning. I guess that's why I've never had the issue you described.
Don thank you. I went back after I cleaned it and dI'd another IOSSO cleaning just for assurance
