Thanks to Dellet, Jonbearman and 1895Winman4590 for being extremely generous and responding to my plea for help getting some cast bullets appropriate for the Trapdoor I was refurbing. Each of them sent an assortment of slugs and passed along advice and I now have enough bullets to test TWO trapdoors with lead bullets.



These guys went out of their way and spent money on shipping to help a guy they don't even know...and refused $$. They deserve to be mentioned and thanked publicly.

A sewing room, ok I can see that. Something homemade to keep the behind warm is not bad. Keep us in mind when you have some of them great big holes in paper.

Ah yes, bending over...yup...have not done that since 2012. Kids do that, wife works on the low stuff. I work from countertop up.

I plan to pull the wire I put in (surface mounted on concrete with conduit) and run regular stud and hole wire. I plan to add four more outlets, and yes, above the countertop (I am building that too) and below the cabinets (Lowes).

On a different note, I learned today that original TD Springfields with Buffington sight have a 250-275 yard zero, which means 2 feet high at 50 and three at 100! My hacksawed Trapdoor has a homemade front sight that zeros the factory 405 grain at 100. I seem to recall my dad having me shoot and he filed, I shoot, he filed. I was about 12 at the time. Had forgotten all about that! I sure would have been freaked out with rounds WAY up there! But I guess the idea was to not get close to that indigenous warrior and if you were, aim at his crotch to center punch him!

Josh, since you have been so patient waiting for payment on that scope, I will try to snert a chuck for you! Would you settle for a doe whitetail?

BTW, I now have footage of real live evolutionary adaptation...
