Thanks to Boltfluter + Transition Barrel

I machined a few large (3+" dia x 12") spiral fluted reamers, back in the day. It was really interesting setting the K&T mill table up w the dividing head.
I'm curious as to how many passes Boltfluter. 2?

Another "Transition" from boltfluter.
Started life as a 24" Stainless Steel PacNor 1.067 OD straight pipe chambered in 6.8 SPC.
Came back as a 23 1/2" Octagon cut/fluted barrel. Still chambered in 6.8 SPC. ;)
Probably about 1 pound loss of weight from the transition, about like the last one?
Shorter length due to the cut & re crown needed to get a "full length" Octagon cut.
Early Savage 110 V (J) action with a single shot sled from SSS. Strictly a bench gun. Can you say "heavy"?
Mounted on a pillar bedded Richard's Micro-Fit Wildcat Camo stock. A little "bling" on the stock side. ;)
Fluted bolt body by Sharp Shooter Supply from way back. Longer "tactical" bolt handle for extra leverage. Don't need no stinken T&T job! :p
As expected, FIRST CLASS job AND service. Paul IS the MAN!! Knows his stuff too.
Always a pleasure dealing with folks like "boltfluter".
