thanks to all who helped

my story: bought a lathe not even knowing how to turn it on, wanting to build a custom rifle for p-dogs. then i searched the web to find the perfect caliber, and found 6mmbr.com. my choice was a 6mmbr with a no turn neck and a .060 free-bore. after many weeks of reading the message board and a DVD i built my rifle. now i need ammo but don't know how to reload so a buddy gets me started and this site tells me the secrets for fine handloaded ammo. so now i go to the range to do some load development and the best group was .410 at a 100yrds. i'm happy but i know the rifle can do better. back to the site and was told to concentrate on trigger pull. loaded more ammo and back to the range today, my results: .365 at a 100yrds and .671 at 300yrds. i dont know what moa that is, but it has got to be good. so to say the least, i am more than pleased with my rifle and handloads, and i couldn't have done it without 6mmbr.com. i will take some pics soon and try to post them, thanks again, SPM

Congrats--a .671" group at 300 yards would be competitive in a benchrest match. That's .214 MOA--really outstanding accuracy.

Obviously you've built yourself a very fine rifle.

The only problem is now you'll start to get spoiled. With my 6BR I get annoyed if, at 100 yards, even one shot in a group isn't touching the rest--I've come to expect that.

Also, be aware that it will be hard to duplicate that .671" at 300 when the wind is wicked. But it's nice to know your rig can deliver that kind of accuracy!
