Very welcome. I dont ever feel a question is annoying. Always want to help if possible.Meh, he’s alright. Kidding!
I’ve asked Bill an annoying amount of questions, along with others on here. Bill and those other people are why I pretty much exclusively use this forum to ask questions. They Take the time to give you an answer, but more importantly an explanation as to why. That’s important to me. Stand up dudes.
Thanks Bill.
WOW! Thanks man for setting the record straight there on who gets the streaks on the back. I was hoping somebody would come to my rescue.Bill is "good people" and a great asset to us all. And he didn't stop beating his wife. His wife stopped beating him.
The man can flat out shoot too.
When I first saw his avatar I thought, cool Bill is a musician. Then I saw it was just a bass guitarBill is one of the good guys! His avatar is from his hippie rock and roll days........hahahahaha
Yea, regular guitar is fun too as that is what I learned first as a kid. Swapped over to bass when I was around 20 years old kind of out of necessity for the band we were putting together. Went back and forth between the two for several bands but realized I had as much fun or more on bass so kind of stuck with it. It quickly became my comfort zone so to speak. Worked out really well once my kids were up and learning how to play and sing because my oldest Son became the lead singer and the younger Son became a fantastic lead guitar player as well. Enjoyed many years of music with them but traveling took it's toll with us owning a construction company and doing both was a huge job no doubt. When I first saw his avatar I thought, cool Bill is a musician. Obviously kidding! I wish I had any musical ability at all. My nephew plays a 5 string bass and my brother plays the guitar. My brother is always giving him a hard time about not being able to play a "real" guitar, so I guess it's common banter between guitarists and bassist, lol.
The funny part with my nephew is he's more talented than his dad. A fact I bring up at all family get togethers hahaha.Yea, regular guitar is fun too as that is what I learned first as a kid. Tried many brands the first few years of playing bass and nothing felt as much like "home" as the Fender Jazz to me. Still have it and will never depart with it as long as I live. But, it IS a real guitar. Fender Jazz is the real deal!
Roger that, brother! I'm in a life-long relationship (fifty years now, and till death do us part) with a '61 Stratocaster. Tried a bunch of old and new Gibsons, several Ibanez, a couple of Yamahas, even a Rickenbacker. Still have an old Les Paul, but she rides the bench. I really like the way you put it - that Strat feels like 'home'.Tried many brands the first few years of playing bass and nothing felt as much like "home" as the Fender Jazz to me.
