The Austin Rifle Club and the Whittington Score Shooters are excited to announce we will be holding the Texas State Hunter Championship match at the Austin Rifle Club range on March 9, 2025. The range is located at 16312 Littig Road, Manor, TX 78653.
This will be the Texas State Hunter championship but if you do not shoot hunter, we will also be holding a registered VFS match at the same time. You are welcome and encouraged to come and shoot that match if you do not shoot Hunter. Make plans to come out and participate now that we have the Texas State Hunter Championship back in Texas.
Signup, Bench draw, and flag setting will begin at 7AM on the 9th.
Shooter’s meeting will be at 8:30 am and the match will begin at 9AM.
We will utilize benches 21 through 40 for this match. We will start with the 100 in the morning and then move to the 200 in the afternoon.
Match fees will be $50.00 payable to Whittington Shooters, Inc.
There is no food available at the range so competitors need to make their own arrangement for food.
You will need to complete both an NBRSA signup sheet as well as an Austin Rifle Club “waiver of Liability / Assumption of Risk Agreement”.
The range will be available for limited practice from noon until sunset on March 8, 2025. We will be expected to share the range with any Austin Rifle Club members that might be present during this time.
There are limited camper facilities available for overnight stay. The only utility is electricity. No water or sewer hookups. If interested, please contact Dudley Primeaux at 512-461-5023.
You will need a gate code to enter the range. On Saturday, contact Joe Duke at 830-522-0063 or Steve Krause at 512-244-3904 to obtain the gate code.
Pre-registration will not be necessary but we would like to know in advance if you plan to attend. Please respond to Joe Duke – txdad43@protonmail.com.
Looking forward to seeing everyone turn out for the match. Come on out and make this Texas State Hunter Championship a match to remember.
If you have any further questions, please contact Joe Duke at txdad43@protonmail.com or 830-522-0063.
