Texas Hog Caliber Qirstion

Any night time blind/bait setup a cellular game camera will quickly show visit times and species. Because remaining quiet in the blind, you will want to go to the blind less than 2 hrs before hogs arrive. Their visits will/may change due to shooting pressure/weather/moon phase. Camera(s) will also let you know they are at the feeder on dark nights without having to open a window. I haven't tried one of the new 360° cameras, probably will this winter.

I used a 6.8 SPC for 10 years and had really good luck. It seems like a dying cartridge now. The only load I use in the 300BO is the Barnes 110gr TAC-Tx and it does a good job. Neck or high shoulder shots puts them right down. If you want them to run off so you don’t have to mess with them, shoot them through the lungs. Contender pistols are my thing now, with lots of choices in cartridges.
I'd prefer they drop in place ... Haha

Excellent suggestions ... Thank you

Any cheap Amazon driveway IR sensor and chime works great for night hunting over bait (where allowed)! When anything moves in front of the IR sensor, the chime will go off and now you know you have activity at your feeder ;)

223. Tons of free range pickup brass. Shooting from a tree blind you should able to place shots accurately.
