I thought I read a post here how to turn the light down on the Teslong borescope. The turn wheel won't dim enough. Post was talking about going into the menu on my device. I am using a Samsung s7.
Thanks Bill
Thanks Bill
Bill, I just received my bore scope today. I downloaded the program but can't get a picture on the screen on my Android. It says my device supports the unit but picture is black. It says it's connected. I have a Moto Z3. Maybe someone will jump in and help on both counts. John.I thought I read a post here how to turn the light down on the Teslong borescope. Thank you. I will try that. JohnGo to the Play Store and look for an app called USB Camera (orange/brown icon with the USB symbol in black.)
The supplied app didn't work on my S6 Edge+, but the USB Camera app does. A buddy of mine had the same problem.

It's the bright glow reflecting off of barrel that makes it difficult to see the bore.My Teslong is still a bit too bright with the wheel adjusted down as low as it will go before going dark, but that's life.
Try adjusting the brightness of the tablet screen, that may do it for you.

Dont clean the bore and it want be so shinyIt's the bright glow reflecting off of barrel that makes it difficult to see the bore.
Yes, it's not an image thing, just real bright.Have you tried adjusting the mirror? Adjusting it in or out, depending on the bore size, can sharpen the image.
Works perfectly, Thank you. John
Not so sure you couldn't find a different mirror head that may offer what you want. I searched and found alot of universal adapter heads for the threaded endI'm considering using a sharpie to black out several of the LED lights. Too much glare even with the lights turned down as far as they'll go. I wish they had a detachable shade or filter.
