Teslong bore scope

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a teslong pistol bore scope to inspect chambers while the barrel is in the lathe. I have heard of people using a different app to view images as its clearer and allows for more adjustments.

What is the app and is anyone willing to share their experiences on the product?

The borescope is just another camera, so any app that supports photos and/or videos will work. Those fmiliar with the various solutions can chime in. I just use the Camera app that came with my Android phone. You'll get better advice if you tell us the model of your phone/PC and the operating system (Android, Windows, MacOS, etc.).

Initially you'll probably have a hard time understanding the images no matter what app you use assuming the images are in focus.

If you have questions about what you see post images with specific questions. Many here will be glad to help you understand what you have captured.

I have this one from Teslong and it has a focus that you twist to get very sharp images and it also has a zoom feature and mini SD card. It comes with a small monitor but also comes with another cord that plugs into a laptop that has a brightness control so you can change the brightness of the led camera light.
You can take the SD card out and download the images onto your PC.

Best $200.00 I've spent in a while.

It was recommended by "F-Class John"

Ok. Perhaps I misunderstood the question. If you have sharp images what else do you want from an app?

I have the similar one in rifle length, and the focus adjustment is done by screwing the mirror out or in towards the lens on the end of the borescope rod. It is a critical adjustment to get the focus on a rifle which is just slightly larger in diameter than the borescope. I doubt if it will allow the rod to lie on the bottom of a 45 caliber bore and see the top of the bore. It only "sees" in focus, about .02 inches.

The website has a safety manual, but no operating manual. do you have a manual that tells you how to focus it?

I suspect you would need to make a piece of plastic that would just fit in the barrel, and file a groove in the OD of the piece that will just fit the od of the borescope rod. This will put you in the range of the focus ability adjustment. basically , you have to have the rod very close to the surface being viewed.

I use Mo-View, which is recommended in my manual for an iphone, and is free in the App store. I use the camera function directly when I use my laptop.

I own a Hawkeye and have also had a Lyman for the last 10yrs so have experience with using a bore scope and what I'm looking at. I understand that the teslong needs to be focused at the mirror.

My understanding is that there is a different app that can be used to view the images produced by the teslong and that app has better resolution. Does anyone here know what that app is?

I use the teslong app and do not have your answer. Have you done a search in the app store for "endoscope". You should get several (WiFi) and they are mostly free to download to test with your scope. Just an idea.
