Tell me why this won't work-barrels with the nut

So, let's say you have a Savage barrel with the nut. Let's say you set the nut and headspace BUT you put red Loctite or similar adhesive on the nut.

Add an index mark on the bottom of the action, and mark the nut to the index mark.

Then you could remove the barrel after the adhesive set and the nut now is the shoulder.

No need to re-headspace the barrel next time. Just tighten to the index mark. Done. Just like a standard shouldered barrel.

Your barrel nut really does not migrate or move if put on right. I acts like a double nut on a bolt, tighten on the first nut and they both stay where they were put.

It should work, but you would need a barrel nut for every barrel you wanted to screw on that action...If you are intending to have several barrels set up for one action and don't want to re-headspace each time you change a barrel...it would be an alternative method..the barrel nut just becomes a permanent shoulder on each barrel...
