Target of Opportunity

Was at the range today and this one come out at 175 yards to munch on the green grass. No more burrows in the backstop by this one!
.223 Remington, L/C 09 case, Sierra 60 grain HP, Vihta Vuori N133, Federal 205M.

That sure brings back memories.

Used to live in Pennsylvania. Shot at three rifle ranges and another at my hunting camp. Loved "targets of opportunity" hogs. What's neat is you never knew. Sometimes it was a 22rf, sometimes 30-30, 44 mag and once it was my 375H&H. Oh my I miss that again now.

Here in Florida best you can get is an armadillo or once, a small gator on the range.

That gator must have been hit by literally hundreds of shots from 20 odd shooters. They did the "gator rag" on that one.

Nothing better than groundhog hunting and I'm a 1,000 miles away. You brought the memory in close. Thanks.
