I get this question all the time...... " If they are 3d printed how do you keep them perfectly level while making them?"

There are slight variations between them when printed and slight variations in the vials themself. And due to them being more sensitive and having the closer subtension markings it does show. But I print several at a time and can usually be able to pair up like levels for people who order multiples at the same time.

These are meant to give you much better repeatability, not so much perfectly level with the true horizon. It is a big help to have precise repeatability while hanging your targets, so you don’t have to readjust your rest between targets. The subtension lines and sensitivity on these make hanging targets way more repeatable than using standard vials.

If you are looking for something to be perfect to the horizon, then you should look into a machinist level as these are not designed to be a machinist level. Even though I am using a machinist like vial.
