Taking the plunge...

I’m tired of having a sore butt when I get out of my stand! Driving to Cabelas in Hamburg, PA this morning to get a Hunters Choice Fat Boy cushion, recommended by my NC guide. $79.99 +tax is a lot but dawg gone it “All butts matter”! BTW I filled my buck tag Tuesday and now am working to fill two split tail tags.

I hear ya. My rotating groundhog bench (bought at Cabela's in Wheeling, WV) had a thinly padded stool type seat with no backrest. I replaced it with a Walmart rotating stool seat with backrest. More padding in the seat, but I often add a folded towel since it makes my butt feel the same way as yours after about 3 hours.

Hate to be ignorant, but what is a split tail tag? Wait a minute, probably a doe tag? LOL

I use one of those knee savers that gardeners use. I have a few nicer ones but a sharp stick will not put a hole in my inflatable one when it is at home.

It ain’t a trophy but I ain’t a trophy hunter Bill. 4 buck and two doe in range at the same time and I could hear the farmer saying “you better kill one!” I’m glad I only had too drag him 100 yards as it felt like I was dragging a horse,

About 3.5 -4 hours East of me. Down where the ground is flat. Duplin Winery makes some tasty stuff to.
