Tactical style tock for Ruger M77

Ive got a older model Ruger M77,late 70 early 80's man.) with factory heavy barrel that was actually was in the arsenal of a local police dept.,even though its not LE marked) up until the mid 80's when they traded out for a batch of new Rem. 700's. Anyhow it puches holes pretty good even though im still doing some tinkering with powders, seating depths etc. with 168gr. SMK's in either Fed. or Win. brass. But ill try and quit the rambling, does anyone know of a stock company or small production maker who makes a McMillan style tac. stock for this action. Ive done a little digging on my own but got frustrated pretty quick seeing most everyting out there is for your more traditional style actions. But if anyone has any info on this please let me know i would appreciate it.

Get rid of that ole dog and get a Remy, I have found that alot of customs smiths wont hardly touch a ruger for some reason. Anyway If you dont care if its wood or glass, you might shoot richards microfit stocks a line, they offer a Tactical style stock which is a pretty comfortable stock. other than that I cannot think of anyone who redily makes a stock for it. You might be able to get a Mcmillian blank and have a smith inlett it but that can get pretty expensive.

Well that ol' dog aint going anywhere anytime soon, it was my fathers and still shoots too damn good to get rid of.,Although i admit there is always room for improvement)And it's my pet project as of right now until i start to tinker the the NO.1 varmit i have in 22-250 or until i get the cash together to get the Cooper i have my eye on. But i will check that guy out thanks.

You might want to contact Joel Russo - he builds laminate stocks in tactical styles - in fact, he makes one that is very similar to McMillan's A5 tactical stock. Most are priced at around $300 or less, depending on options, and are darned good looking. Here's a link to a thread on Precision Long Range Hunter. Russo's stocks have become very popular with the guys there:

M700: have you shot one of the laminated A-5 stocks by Joel Russo? Curious to see how they feel and fit.
