Tackdrivers. What did you shoot and what shooting disciplines do you participate in?

I shot a 26" HV 6ppc barrel on more of a short range gun. I only shoot a few groundhog style matches and a few UBR matches each year. I had a ton of fun this round and felt like I learned a bit more. Watching the flags and a good barrel is where it's at in my opinion. I like the possibilities of learning from all the experienced shooters and the various perspectives and opinions. This place will humble you real quick, but at the end of the day you are guaranteed to eat good and a lot of opportunity to add to your education.

This was my first TD and what great time it was.I shot my long range set up in a 6bra. I shoot 600 BR and IBS vfs(30br). Along with a local match that is similar to a Ibs shoot using the 200 and 300 yard IBS score targets that can have very heavy mirage like orangeburg at times.

Well, you can feel free to change up everything for next year :)

Seriously, I would very interested in your setup, including your loading procedures. The consistency you had all week end was certainly on display.

I shot a 65x55 Swedish Mauser at 1000 yards, prone, in the "then new" F-class. My gunsmith, and fellow 1000 yd shooter, drilled and taped the receiver and changed the bolt handle to clear the scope. That Military, Carl Gustaf M38, with a Sightron 4-16 Scope, would hold the 10 ring at 1000 yards. The load was Lapua 65x55 brass, Fed 210M primers, and enough Reloader 22 to keep Sierra 140 gr. MK's, supersonic past 1000 yards. Not bad for a rifle made in 1942. We shot those matches a Camp Atterbury, IN.

I've got a Remington 40XBR, McMillan stocked, 6PPC Krieger (fitted by Bob White), with a silver Weaver 36, that I shoot in our local 100 & 200 yd matches. Starting to run out of the Fowler 66gr FB bullets, so I'll have to find more or switch to something else.

I built a Remington 700 RAR single shot, stainless off-hand match rifle. Got a .308 Win. stainless barrel from a member here, and a parallel ground recoil lug from Bob White. Jewell trigger. Pillared and glassed the action in a Remington laminated varmint stock. A silver Weaver 6-20 with 1/8 min dot, Grand Slam, sits on top. This rig shoots Sierra 125gr Game Pro's into 5/8" at 100 yards. Plenty tight for an off-hand match rifle.

My Kimber 82B (Clackamas), is used for 50yd. benchrest and 100yd off-hand. I got an 82G stock that I cut the "fish belly", off of, to make it lower profile. I reworked the stock to accept the 82B barreled action, magazine and trigger guard. Turned out really nice, and works well from the bench and off-hand. Seems to love Ely Black Match.

This was my first TD. I shot terrible but had a blast. Have signed up for #6.
I shoot a 30x47. Bart asked me why ? Mainly cause I can't see 6mm holes.
I couldn't see my own bullet holes. You cant shoot what you cant see.
We shoot mostly local club matches VFS
The food was worth the price of admission. What a feast.
I have never seen a more beautiful club than Mid Carolina.
A heated rest room with hot and cold running water right on the concrete pad. Wow.
I 'll be back.
