I personally believe that one photo of Wayne’s Rifle contains a very valuable piece of information in that firing pin modification.
we have been adding firing pin weight with a tungsten spacer on the firing pin, which can be limiting.

The idea is that lock time in a Benchrest Rifle is not a concern. Some well known Gunsmiths and Shooters started adding weight to the firing pin, and saw positive results.
