T-Rex for 1K Benchrest?

My asperations have me looking over the T-Rex with standard bag
top. but in the grand scheme of things, the Lenzi is only $100 bucks
more.
I see you are in Erie. If you haven’t had an opportunity to mess with a Lenzi I’m an hour and fifteen minutes south of you in Franklin.

Dave.

Thanks everyone. A high end Coax may not be needed for Benchrest I suppose.

The 21st Century Hybrid looks like a really solid rest and not priced bad for the function and quality. Seems like it delivers the best of both worlds from joystick and standard BR rests. I have a bunch of 21st equipment for reloading and am always impressed with the quality of every piece so I’m sure John’s rest is no different. Thanks to you guys, it looks like I found a winner!

You should have no regrets with your choice. The only rest I have not owned at one time or another is the T-Rex. I have settled in quite nicely with the 21 Cent. and a Sinclair Comp. with all the best upgrades. Both were bought here from site members. Of the Joy Stick rests I found the Lenzi the easiest to tune and work with, of the Sebs I like the Mini the best for it's swivel top. If I were to look into another Joy Stick rest ( after watching all the videos ) it would be the T-Rex I am sure......And there is that Made In The U.S.A. thing that I am a BIG fan of and most things being equal, I try to do when it comes to purchases.

Regards
Rick

Yes Sir, I'm up here on the Lake. I did get a chance to look over
one, and from a tool makers point of view, simple and precise.
All the good rests are priced the same, so that evens that field.
I'd be on the fence about about the 21st Century hybrid. Lots of
parts to deal with.....Like they say, "Buy once, Cry once" !!!

Hey all. If anyone has any questions about the Hybrid-X, please feel free to give me a call or shoot an email (260-273-9909 or pete@21stcenturyshooting.com). If I don't answer please leave a message and I'll call back. I am out in the shop most of the time but make sure I respond to all messages in a timely manner.

All I can say is this rest is awesome! It is the best of both worlds. As a traditional "wheel" rest user for many years, I found this design and function very comfortable to work with and fast to get used to. Yes there are a lot of moving parts in the design, but I can ensure you it is very solid. Our original working prototype is still out in the field and working flawlessly after 4 years. The rests just needs a little attention in lubing and keeping clean, but it will take care of you as well.

Thanks all!

-Pete
