T/C Encore .308 15" Barrel

SFC

US Army Disabled Veteran 1969-1983
I Compete locally in my wheelchair with permission from the NRA. Shooting rifles is out of the question due to injuries to my shoulders and lower back, I also have the loss to both knees and ankles all from injuries while serving in the US Army 1969. I am allowed to shoot in any position that is safe and comfortable to me using a bench rest while competing in the High Power Class of Long Range Pistol out to 200 yards in Steel Silhouette Competitions.

I use a Harris BiPod 1A2-BRM Solid Base 6 - 9-Inch and a Protektor Model Rabbit Ear Rear Bag Hard Bottom, 1-Inch and if need be I also have a set of Bulls Bags if I need a little higher elevation.

My weapon of choice: T/C Encore 15" Bullberry .308 Barrel with Muzzle Brake and a Burris Handgun Scope 3x12.

Ammunition: Federal Gold Metal Match 308 Win. 168, Sierra® MatchKing BTHP

FYI there are shooters, NRA Members and state ran Rifle and Pistol clubs who are not aware of the people who are disabled can still compete with certain accommodations by the NRA. Till recently there was no information as to how we could qualify to compete. Sorry if I ruffled some feathers and brought this information to knowledge among all shooters.

I'm happy to see they'll allow you to use whatever set-up works for you. I've always had good success with Bullberry barrels. If you ever happen to get around to picking up another barrel, pistol silhouette can be shot with a lot of small capacity pistol rounds, 6.5 or 7BR, 300 whisper, 30-20 TC, 6.5 or 7 tcu, etc., that can cleanly take rams with much less recoil than a 308.
