Systems for Keeping Brass from Falling Off Bench?

On the 't' style benches, I just use a towel and a snake bag. At my home range, we have horse shoe (cut out) style benches so the space on the side is narrower.....a plastic box cut at an angle works good. The bottom of the box has a cloth towel wrapped around a piece of flat lead to hold the box in the wind. With a mechanical ejector, the cases can launch pretty far when the bolt gets worked with a little gusto. ;)

Cut down your elector spring!
I go with a lower spring rate and keep the length to it. I've found if you cut, sometimes you may cut just a tad bit too much off and have a radom case that flops back in. I just lay a Billy towel and otto bag riser and all flop into that. Never lost a case.

Varminting we just eject them to the ground as we don't want them on the bench but in that case we aren't concerned about dinging our brass like this high end brass.

We found laying out a small piece of canvas worked perfect, set stuff on the corners to keep it in place and end of the day all your brass was right there ready to pour into a bucket and best of all, clean, no dirt or vegetation mixed in. It also breaths so the grass/alfalfa doesn't wilt. No leaving brass all over like 22rf and of course since we reloaded we wanted our high power brass back. This was in the 1990's when sage rats were thick a fleas. Not sure that's an issue any more. Sadly.

I found a brass catcher on Amazon. Fitted it on my heavy gun and it's perfect. Holds about 40-50 6BRA cases. It has a zip underneath so can quickly empty the nylon bag.
