Synthetic Remington 788 stock...where to find one?

Wolfdawg

I have a friend who is looking to replace his beat up and cracked wooden stock on his Remington 788 with a cheap synthetic stock.

Any recommendations?

Ramline made a plastic stock for the 788, might check on ebay, if I remember right there is 2 different action lengths,

I'm pretty sure there were three action lengths. From the little digging I did I found this:

Measured from the rear edge of the bridge to the front edge of the ring:

the .44 Mag is 5-5/8"
the .222, .22-250, and .30-30 are 6-5/16,"
the 243 and 308 are 6-9/16"

I didn't see mention of the 6mm Remington.

Brown Precision use to make one, not sure if they still do. Brian.
