I have this junky old Savage that shoots a 6mm-284 , 22-250 , 6mmBR , and a 221 Fireball and all of them only takes a couple clicks when changing barrel . And will shoot this at 100 yds . Turner ? yes and no . It has a Rifle Basies trigger and a 36X leupold now .

In the Benchrest game, switching barrels is common. Heck, I even take spare barrels to the range and swap them there.

I keep all of my barrels in the same chambering close enough so I can interchange brass beteeen them, even in different rifles.

How far off from zero a barrel will be depends a Lot on how it was chambered. I do my barrels in such a way that thy are usually within a couple of inches at 100 yards,

I have seen barrels that were chambered in what has become a very popular method that will be off the paper. But after sighting in, shot great.
