switch barrel Rem 700

I'm thinking of buying a Rem 700 SA and making it a switch barrel rifle. Calibers would be .223, 7-08 and .308. A friend has a .223 and a .308 for sale. Is one preferable to the other. I realize that I will need two bolts. I think I read that the feed lips are different. If I decide to use a detachable magazine, does it matter? Thanks.

You'll need a different mag box for the 223 vs the 308. The 223 will not stay in the mag (fallout actually). You could put a sled in the mag box and single load the 223 tho as an option.

You could also use a stock that uses the AICS magazines then you just change mags and bolts when you change barrels. The 223 mags are new.
