Swift Aframe and Nosler Partition 180's

Need starting COAL for Swift 180 a-frames and Nosler Partition 180 for use in 300mag. They don't put their starting lengths in their reloading manuals and I hate to guess. When I don't have the info I usually just back of .020 and hope for the best.

I never use manuals for seating depths it all depends on the reamer used. Find the lands with a dummy round or comparator that way you will always have a reference to come back to as you adjust seating depth.

Thanks Lsherm, I always do that also but I find that if I have a reloading manual starting point with a new bullet it saves some time. If I don't have info I generally back off .020 from the lands. This model 70 300 mag sporter is a tedious one to work with. My other 300's haven't been this much irritation.

Your length will be determined by your magazine length. My m700 has a long magazine and I got best accuracy and velocity with oal of loaded.rounds 3.42.
Some other magazines are shorter and you have to load about 3.34.
