Swarovski Scopes for Benchrest?

Greetings to all,

I'm a newcomer to benchrest shooting. I'm having a 30BR built up, and plan to do some informal "varmint for score" matches here in Colorado, and perhaps work up into formal "hunter class" matches.

I have yet to decide on a scope for this rifle. Ideally, I'd like a variable power scope, with the low end at or near 6x,to qualify for the Hunter class), and the upper end as high as possible, e.g., 24-25x. I'd also like the minimum focus distance to go down to 25 yards, as one of the informal shoots I do with friends includes a 25 yard "event". I'm not really limited on price for this particular purchase.

I know there are many considerations and high quality choices available, including making weight for the Hunter class, but my specific question is, why don't I ever see a Swarovski in the equipment listings for the benchrest match results? Almost every high-end,and many not so high-end) scopes are represented in the results from time to time. From what I've read, and from the input I've had from dealers, the Swarovski's are of excellent quality, especially the glass. Is there a particular issue with Swarovski scopes, relative to benchrest use? Is it possibly subtension of the available reticles?

I appreciate any input you have.

Their glass is awesome, and their light.
They're good for short range hunting.
That's not a bad thing, it's what they're for, and many BR scopes are good for nothing but BR.

Subtension is a MAJOR factor, FFP except for one model, and I doubt they have enough experience with SFP to come up with a serious design compared to their competition.

In my view, a cross between a Swarovski and a Nightforce NXS, could result in a huge advancement in scopes. But scope makers aren't exactly asking us what we want, are they? I suspect this is why ~95% of the scopes on the market fall in the shadow of only ~5% that are actually worthy of use. And not one scope, none of them, meet all needs.
Always been this way..

Both NF and Swarovski are among the best as far as optics but the NF is too heavy and it will bring the weight of your rifle way up. I have both and the Swarovski is a bit clearer. The 6-24-50 is an awesome scope but its still not a 35x or 45x Leupold. For load tesing I like the extra magnification. You can always get a 12-42x56 NF BR but that will set you back $1300.
