Surplus H4831

Bought 4 lbs of surplus H4831. No H4831 or H4831SC to be found and my rifle is close to being finished. Any advise or warnings on reloading for my .284 Win? The rifle is built on a long action and has a chamber cut for Lapua brass and a 0.188" throat. The barrel is a Bartlein 8.4" twist. Any and all replies are appreciated.

I would start with 1 load starting at 1 grain under the starting amount of the powders suggested load using such and such powder .1 cartridge at each interval to see where pressure rears its ugly head. What were you told it was similar too.

Sorry for the delay. The shop is pretty sure its WW II surplus. It came in a wooden box with a metal lid and rubber gasket. I got lucky and bought the last of it. The owner of the shop uses current H4831 data without any issues.

I still have a pound from ww2 and covet it for my .243 with 75 grain hp's.It shoots outstanding.
