If ATF is going to nit pick every damn little thing then someone needs to sue the DEA for lack of enforcement over states legalizing weed. There has to be an equal protections case in there somewhere.
I'll wager that it also violated Texas law. I don't know how things work in Texas, but in most free states, state prosecutors can't prosecute Federal law for lack of jurisdiction. They can refer it to the Feds if they so wish if it is also a violation of Federal law.I am not sure you're correct on that friend. I recall making arrest for short barreled shotguns back in the 80s. And the charges stuck like superglue. And I was just a local cop in a podunk Texas town. Has something changed?

Texas Silencer Law, NFA, No Commandeering, Commerce Clause, Test Case
Texas has eliminated the Texas ban on silencers. There is anti-commandeering clause, as well as the setup for a Federal test case on the commerce clause.www.ammoland.com
Once upon a time, there was a poll tax. I think it was a dollar or two. I think LBJ wiped it out with the Civil Rights act of 1964. Maybe sooner The poll tax existed long before the Civil WarEveryone fighting these laws are going about it the wrong way. Fight the taxation of a right. How can you tax a RIGHT????? Imagine being taxed for voting, freedom of speech or any other. It is insane and not what the Founding Fathers would have wanted..
