Suppresser Users

1 shot how often do you run your car on solid fuel and how often do you shoot lots of bullets through your muffler. I am asking because I want to know. I think the issue is not exclusive to cans, my muzzle breaks also get very tight. No matter how much grease or never seize I use they will still get tight if you don't remove then often. I generally have tools to break them loose but, it puts a lot of strain on the bedding unless you remove the action, and taking the action in and out of the bedding wears it also. I suspect it has to do with the direction of the threads and every bullet tightening it just a tiny bit more. But I would like to hear it from somebody that really knows. Speak up please Dave.

In the process of making my next can. Legally of course. The issue with the end caps being tight is simply high speed particles being driven into the threads. No great mystery here. My next end cap will have a tight fitting o-ring to the tube, blocking the threads from all the grit and grime. Probably some type of lube on the o-ring for a good seal as well. Maybe double o-rings if needed. End cap threads will have some type of lube on them as well. I don't know why the manufacturer's don't do this from the factory as standard practice. O-rings are cheap. On another note, I always store my rifles muzzle down if the suppressor stays on all the time. The first time a chunk of carbon breaks off you will thank me. This carbon will cut steel in your action, it is that hard! It's no fun cleaning this type of carbon out of the action. Ask me how I know!! Just a little tip that may save you some grief. Good shooting guys.
