Superformance powder

I did my testing in a 260 Rem. load development would be looking good with group sizes getting smaller when I ran out of bullets.
Loaded more and come back the next day. My groups would look like your skillet group. No consistency from day to day.
The only thing that would make its performance super was that you could get another 100-150 fps with it.
Couldn't hit anything but you looked good doing it.

The powder available is not the same as used in all superformance ammo. That's why they don't list load data for every cartridge. I did some experimenting about 5 years ago. I tried it in a 260, by taking the 243 load. I started about 5gn lower and worked up until started seeing pressure signs. At that point I got 3065fps with 140gn bullets in a 30in barrel. Yes I got high velocity, but wasn't happy with the accuracy.
Makes me wonder why,, then, do they call it Superformance powder, if it isn't the same as they use in their like named loaded ammo? Kind of misleading.

Especially since Hornady & Hodgdon imply the Superformance pwder sold at retail to be the answer to "Can I buy the powder used in Hornady Superformance factory ammunition?” straight in their product description.

A consumer has to dig a little deeper to see this.

I've use it in both my RPR's in 6.5 Creedmoor for over a year and a half with great results in both. Routinely shoots below .5 MOA at 1000 yards year round from high 90 degrees in the summertime to low 30 degrees in the winter. Velocity is about 125 to 150 fps faster than factory Hornady ammo, and faster than any other powder I have seen out there. I have no complaints with it. I'll gladly take that jug if you can't get it work out if others dont take it first.
