super light 270 bullets

hi guys.

i am loking or some one to tll me that there are no 50 0r 60 gr projctiles made in 6.8mm i have a new 270 buid on a mauser action an the iea of pushing rouns at 4200 is far to tempting.

the lightest i have found are 85's. is that my lot?

The Speer 90-gr TNT is about as explosive a varmint bullet you will find for 270 Win. And TNTs are a best buy for price as well. I have some I will never use if you are interested.

I see Barnes makes a .277" 85-gr MPG (Multi-Purpose Green) HP bullet. It's lead free, frangible, marketed as "6.8mm Remington SPC" for tactical, and lead free. Would probably work for varmints, but probably not as explosive as purpose-built varmint bullets like TNT or V-max. Barnes makes good bullets, but I can only guess how accurate the MPG might be.

If you're looking for ultimus maximus g-hog obliterationus, the 90 gr. Sierra will literally unzip them. They've shot extremely well out of several rifles and not expensive, comparatively speaking. Only time I've ever seen a groundhog triple was with a 90 Sierra out of a 270....... shrapnel galore.....

I buy those 90 speer's in those 650 bullet value packs, when I first started buying them they were $69.00
Now they are twice that if you can find them, that and an 8 pound of powder and I was good to go for awhile.

Cutting Edge Bullets makes a 82gr brass .277" cal bullet, and a 85gr copper .277".

Years ago I was using 110gn V-max's and IMR 4895. Not the smallest but were decently accurate and killed coyotes nicely. E

this bullet over IMR4064 was a bomb on varmits!!!! I now use a 22-250 and miss the miss the mist !!

I have thought about building a 270WSM shooting light bullets for coyote hunting. I currently use the 90 Sierras out of a 6.8 AR,the coyotes don't take a step.
