I was born with a defective sports fan chromosome. Never understood the appeal of watching grown men play a child’s game. From what I gather, some folks even think these games are actually important. I get a kick out of hearing adults arguing about teams and players. Seriously?!

Another thing I’ll never comprehend is hearing people say “Hey we won last night!” We? Are we members of the team? Huh?

Besides, I still haven’t figured out which end of a football bat the goalie is supposed to hold.

My take is "To Hell with the NFL and AFL". I love sports but I will never watch another pro football, baseball,or basketball game again. I will watch college and HS but never again the above mentioned. I like pro hockey but don't understand it. That's some tough guys there.

I respect and understand your point. I have to say though. In the big scheme of things there are bigger issues to take a stand against. Those idiots sitting during the anthem has little impact on me or the country as a whole other than to confirm they are idiots. I served my country as you did. I respect your position. I ask that you respect mine even if you don't agree with it.

I enjoyed the game. The anthem was nice. If anyone was sitting, I didn't see it.

I haven’t watched a game all season. I won’t watch today either. I can’t stomach the disrespect shown by some of the players and tolerated by owners and management. I don’t think the NFL really cares though, their viewership is only down by 10% or so. However that’s not the point to me. Besides, I find college ball more competitive and interesting.

The real athlete's are pop warner and high school kids that play sports. They play because they love the game and haven't been polluted by the all mighty buck. I can't understand fans of these pro teams and athletes. Do u think they really give a FK about you. Go ask all the players to play just one season with wages like you or I made or make. Tell them to do it for the fans and see what happens. Just think about that one then tell me how great these bozo's are.
