Super Bowl

Colin Flaherty, YouTube/Podcasts. He sets the record straight with the false narrative of black victimization.
I stopped watching the NFL the year all of the players had to take their helmet off, every time they did the job they were hired to do, beating on their chest, 'Me! Me! Me!!

I gave up drinking alcohol just about twenty years ago. It's amazing how many other stupid, wasteful, harmful and illegal activities I gave up at that time. Watching football on TV was one of the stupid/wasteful ones.

That being said, we will be going over to Dad's today to share a pizza, some junk food, and waste a little time watching the game. Barely know who is playing -- don't care who wins. I'm not so old that I've completely quit being stupid.:p jd

Hear hear !
I work with a few guys that are infatuated with sports,, all f-ing day,, it's all I hear.. I am so happy when things like the SB, or the world series, or the Stanley cup, or the basketball brackets, are over, because then they actually do work, instead of stand around quarter-backing last nights game.
I have seen a few actually get red in the face, arguing with each other about some coaches decision, or a referees call.
I honestly believe these guys go home, and right to the boob tube to binge-watch sportscenter, They literally have no hobbies, or life outside television.

I dumped cable, (except for the internet) about 5 years ago.. I got an antenna on my garage roof, and I get 4 "watchable" channels, ( at least until network news starts )
.
I'm gonna be 50 soon, someday, and only in the past couple years realized that my time here is over the 1/2-way mark , I best not waste it sitting on my arse.

You guys are lucky. I'm smack dab in the middle of Eagles land and I can't turn on the TV without some Eagle BS. It's total overload. If they win, they'll need the National Guard in Philly to prevent looting. If they lose, they'll have to run mental health professionals on the PBS station for a couple months, maybe years. Hell, they may even need to roll out the Wambulance.

Me? I've been reduced to watching old reruns on MeTV, the weather channel and cleaning guns I've already cleaned.
I will say Barney and Otis do provide some good laughs.

Hey Dale: We found three new episodes of "The Blue Planet 2" on Demand. Also look at Victoria. It made thewife happy. I thought it was entertaining. If I hear E. A. G. L. E. S. one more time, I think I'll puke.

I don't even have a TV. Besides, the one here in NY is on dish and it is SNOWING to beat the band so I won't have a picture till spring.

If it ain't the Stillers, it aint football. Poo to Philly. And if it takes five states to field a team, not much there...

Still miss Mean Joe and Stallworth...

You no doubt recall the Immaculate deception - just the way the coach drew it up on the chalkboard!! :<)

I don't have any withdrawal pains, at all. Must not have been as addicted as I thought. Clean 2 years!
I just quit watching this year since the million dollar cry babies took a knee during the National anthem. I'm surprised that i have not missed it for one single minute. I still watch college football and basketball some. Like someone else on here stated, sports, sports, sports, gets sickening. Get a life.

I was already off football because they are poor role models. My son is a top junior golf recruit, playing D1 golf next fall. I am endlessly impressed with the gentlemen in golf as role models. the coaches are generally exceptional family men. --Jerry
