SUN SHADES???????????????????????

ME, novice. Do you put the sun shade on and leave it on or are there times to use it and others not?

I always leave them on unless I'm shooting offhand in the wind. If I'm shooting sitting or prone in the wind, I'll leave the sunshade on but take the mirage tube off. From the bench, both the sunshade and mirage tube stay on.

Put on leave it on--You never and I mean never see a professional photographer without a shade on every lens--they have a big impact --zero downside--would you play ball without a cap?

I've always left mine on. I think it may help keep the objective a bit cleaner.
