Suhl 250

That stock is Bill Myers and Don Stith's design. It's a Predator that Don made. Both talented and good men. I remember Bill showing me that action when he first finished it at McKeesport Sportsmans Association in PA at an IR 50/50 match. Seeing your pics bring back fond memories of those "good ol' days". Thank you.
Thanks for chiming in on it.. reading more history on this rifle has really made it more enjoyable in owning it! It shoots wonderful as long as i do my part!

USMCDOC, that is a really nice stock. My 150 still has the original barrel but even being an inexperienced bench rest shooter I can put ten rounds inside a dime size target at 50 yards. I’m not sure what make of benchrest stock it is but I would like to change the color to something bright instead of the marbled black/green it is now.

Send me a pic of it

I shot against that rifle a couple times when Bill & Inez used to come up this way....she was a real piece of work.
Do you know how many actions he did ?

i have no idea.. i got the rifle from Don, he didn't mention as to how many.. My buddy Jessie Patrick said that he remembers getting whooped many a time with that rifle..

It is getting put into a new stock as we are typing about it now.

You’re buddies with Jessie? I love Jessie. The next time you see him kindly tell him hello from Tim Simbari.
I met him when he and Pepper came up to Canastota for the IR Nationals.

I bought a Suhl from Herb Gibson in the early 90s I believe. Remember the Gibson Discount stores. I believe the stock was a McMillan. Never shot a match with it, but once at our local range. It was very accurate, but went down the road.

That thing is gorgeous Doc, congratulations on a fantastic score! Is that replacement a McMillan edge? It’s what I’m going with But I’m gonna go with lucky Irish green for mine.

I just ordered a brand new build after yet another failed attempt to go the used route. I figured what the hell, cry once and get exactly what I want. . . :)

Yes.. it is a full fill Edge original.. Had @Bc'z paint it.. might want to consider that! Howard Pitts did the bedding job on the fiberglass stock.
