Suhl 150 Targets today

I was starting to get some flyers so I cleaned the chamber and bore on the rifle. The first target is first five after cleaning at 25 yards. Next two are 50 yard targets after around 50 rounds through.

I have had the rifle back for a few weeks after getting the custom stock made. This is a factory trigger and action. Not sure of the barrel is factory or not. I think the rifle is capable of better. We just need to get to know each other a bit better. The last fifty yard target was really a barn burner till I sent that fifth one north east a bit. These are all five shot groups and are the best of the day.

Have you looked for a gun smith name or initials stamp on the under side of the barrel? Most smiths stamp them somewhere.
Nice rifle, I had a few of them they have great triggers.

I have not. I will do that later today.

This factory trigger rivals anything out there. Someone before spent some time on this gun. It is by far my favorite 22 I have now or have owned. There is a similar one for sale locally I may pickup for my wife. I have slowly converted her to light trigger.

Be aware, most 150’s were done several years ago. Point being, if possible find out round count and try to look at barrel with bore scope. You’d be surprised how many guns done way back have cleaning damage in the bore..

My well-worn, 20 year old Suhl 150 that is completely factory original (or as original as the ones sold by US importers) that I bought third hand still shoots well. I decided to test it with a tuner but the groups are so close on average that it will take more shooting to see if I can get consistent differences. These were the preliminary 5x 50 yard groups I shot at various tuner settings. My measured smallest group was sub 0.10 (my calcs were 0.08) but given the error in measuring sub 0.10 groups it's hard to say exactly what it was. This was with standard Norma Tac 22, not any of my match ammo.Vudoo tuner test small.jpg
