PS- IF YOU WOULD GO SINGLE SHOT THE .20 SCC IS A HOT LITTLE CARTRIDGE. 3800ish WITH 32g NOSLER, ALTHOUGH BRASS MIGHT BE DIFFICULT TO COME BY. BRASS FITS A HORNET BOLT FACE.

Yeah if you are stuck on a 20 cal I think I would do a 20br as well.

I will be doing one in an 8 twist to shoot the 55 grain bergers someday

Good to know a BR will feed OK from a Tikka. A local gunsmith has been trying his hardest to get me to use a Tikka as a base action instead of my Remmy plans. Getting a remmy to feed a BR can be a headache from all reports. So if Tikka works OK I'm all for it.

Roadkill I'd like to read more about your builds you've done. PM me if you want with anything you can help me with please.
Not many here (in NZ) have done what I want, so getting info is very hard.

I'd like to get a barrel with a twist I can use heavier pills for when the need arises. Was thinking a 8 or 10 twist.
Trueflite are made here and I can get a very good deal on them. They only do 8,10, and 12 twists in 20cal and 26" long.

22Dasher, I've been thinking about the Dasher since it has been mentioned. Trying to find out more about them as well. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just to make a correcton the 20SCC. These are based on a blown out 40 degree 221 fireball necked of course to 20 cal. I built one on a cz action and pac-nor 3 grove. With 2200 powder I can get easy 4000fps with 32 gr. Have just built another on a 700wit hV 25inch kreiger. Waiting for the spring winds to subside and the testing will begin. Basically it won't do anything a 204 won't do (and a LOT cheaper). But as they say yo can't take it with you.

I just put together a 22/6mm remington. I'm loading it for 75/80gr at 33-3400fps. I've got a ton of 55/68s. I'm thinking of some alphafa field spotlighting in jackrabbits!

I've bought a Tikka 595 20 Tactical instead of building a rifle.
24" Trueflite Ultra Match barrel #4 profile
Tikka Continental Varmint stock pillar bedded
360x Lapua 20tac empty cases
130x loaded rounds with 40gr Vmax pills, N133 25.6g powder, and CCI 450 primers.
Comes with Hornady die set and 2 mags and suppressor made by Gunworks.

I'll post some more pics when it arrives.
