Sub sonic reloading

I found a recipe and loaded sub sonic rounds for my bolt .223/5.56 Wylde last night. The Labrador wasn't triggered because I was using a can, the shot marker didn't respond because they were sub sonics and the auto Trickler struggled with 3.1 grains of tight group. The dogs didn't get up and leave, the deer in the pasture were curious and came in closer, the wife and daughter didn't complain about me shooting from the back porch and I didn't need ear pro. The world just didn't seem right....

Sounds like fun! What grain bullet? Did you use any type of filler in the case to keep the powder to the rear? Sorry for all the questions. Considering doing this myself.

I've used 5.5 gr. Unique in my .223 Contender for years with long .22 bullets (for better stability)-77 gr. & up. Killed a lot of groundhogs with it. Never used a filler. Never had any problems with that.
Also killed over 500 groundhogs with a suppressed Ruger MKIII and REm. 38 gr. subsonic ammo. Only have a Bushnell Trophy 2-6X scope on it. Made my longest shot last week-138 yds. So quiet he didn't know I was shooting. Had to walk the shots up. Got him on #3.
